§ To be the ambassador of the Restaurant.

§ To seat guests efficiently to ensure comfort and quality of experience.

§ To monitor and manage table turnover and the flow of guests in your café.
§ To maximize sales by seating efficiently and retaining them during busy periods.

§ Answer telephone and take the reservations in a correct manner
§ Arrive punctually, in proper attire, and prepared to begin shift.
§ Ensure sections are assigned appropriately to meet anticipated reservations and business volume.
§ Ensure neatness, organization, and cleanliness of all fixtures and fittings in host/hostess area.
§ Sort, clean, and organize menus and put away neatly.
§ Check the restrooms. Ensure cleanliness and adequately stock with supplies.
§ Ensure specials’ boards are updated.
§ Approach each guest and greet them with a warm and friendly smile.
§ Make eye contact when talking to guests.
§ Acknowledge regular guests with a personal greeting using their name.
§ Determine the guests’ needs. Identify where the guest will be seated and escort them at a comfortable pace, while engaging in light conversation.
§ Inquire whether it is the guests’ first visit to the Restaurant.
§ Present an open menu to each guest.
§ Explain clearly the procedures for any wait situations in peak business times.
§ Assist in finding bar seats or wait areas during peak business times.
§ Check and ensure the restrooms and guest usage areas are cleaned and re-stocked every hour.
§ Be alert for mediocre responses. Inquire for further feedback.
§ Offer comments cards to the guests to complete if not already done so.
§ Ask for feedback from all departing guests by asking specific questions about the quality of their lunch, dinner, or service.
§ Report any complaint or dissatisfaction to the Manager immediately.
§ Wish a warm parting – “Good Night”, “Thank you for coming to our Restaurant, “We hope to see you again soon”.
§ Have all relevant forms available for the colleagues and guests.
§ Complete all assigned duties.

Previous F&B position in similar role is an advantage within standalone Restaurants or within the hotel industry.
Knowledge and understanding of the UAE market and clientele.
Passionate, agile, self-motivated and able to perform with excellence at all times are highly regarded characteristics.
